About… me… and other stuff…

Well, here we are again. Who would have believed that this blog was started a year ago, due to a chance remark from my son? But it did…

I have always enjoyed writing and firmly believe in the power of the written word. It can evoke tears, laughter, memories or even start a revolution… although I don’t want to do that. Not today, anyway.

I have some older relatives that I write letters to in the traditional way and it just so happened that I hurt my right elbow – I’m right handed – and couldn’t write properly. My son offered to type my letters for me, and as I spoke, he laughed. A lot. He said:

Have you ever thought of writing a blog?”

and after extensive questioning, I discovered not only what a blog was but what it involves.

The whole ethos of this blog, then, for me is to invite people into my world, for a little while, to stay for a chat and a chance to look at things a little differently, to find and appreciate the magic in the ordinary and everyday.

I love my cats and my crystals – they feature in a lot of what I write about… sometimes my son even makes an appearance, although he is always there with his love, support and wonderful photographs.

And so… to everyone who has been kind enough to take the time and stop for a read, a like, a subscribe ~ thank you. As always.

.thanks

  1. Happy Anniversary! 😀

Your blog has an interesting combination – crystals and cats – and it so happens I love cats and just recently (last couple of weeks) gotten into crystals! I recently got a cute little kyanite pendant and a cool black tourmaline bracelet, but sadly no cats; maybe in the near future. 🙂

I look forward to reading more of your posts!

  2. Hi Samantha. I’m here from the A to Z Challenge. No, I didn’t lose my way. I think I was meant to be here today. For some strange reason I clicked on the ‘about’ button when I came to your blog. I haven’t done it on any other blogs this month (on account of being busy and trying to read the posts of the day instead). Lovely introduction. I’m off to check out your S post now:)

  3. Hi Sanantha, I related so much to this. Even though I’ve got a dog I grew up with cats, I’m also a bit shy, love my crystals and I was also put onto blogging by my son! 🙂 Look forward to reading more.
